I write about real life issues. Sometimes they are happy topics. Sometimes they are lessons learned, and other times they contain the truest of life’s heartache. But with every post, I try to leave my readers with a positive, encouraging thought, or two.
I last wrote about a very trying week in my life. It wasn’t just a bad week for me but also for family and friends. The post wasn’t meant to bring sadness to my readers but more of a message of hope. God couldn’t promise us a life, here on earth, without sadness and pain.

If there were no hardships where would our growth be? How would we learn about compassion? Could we truly understand love?
Why would we desire heaven if everything here was perfect? What would be the need for God?
There may be moments, hours, and days when we don’t believe that life is good…much less, fair. Understandably so.

But life happens to each of us and, although our situations are quite individual, we still experience happiness and sadness just the same. This is where we find our connection of hearts. And this is where we find the goodness in life.

my grandma used to say without trials and tribulations, you can not grow.
