Winter Reflection

Sitting on the dock of our little pond and reflecting many things all at once.

Loving the snowless days of winter, yet yearning for a wintery scene

Grateful for prayers answered on behalf of a friend

Listening to bird calls in leafless trees

Admiring the silver ripples upon the water

Chilly cheeks and squinty eyes

Feeling God all about me

Loving the sunshine on my skin, and

The cool breeze in my hair

Recalling the warm days of summer

Grandma’s summer camp, and

The silliness of my grandkids

Feeling great love for my children

Grateful for the man who takes exceptional care of me

Thankful for the holidays spent with those I love

Longing for those who’ve left me, and

Wondering where they are since they passed

Questioning how I could ever feel blue with all that I have

Enjoying my alone time, and

Grateful that I want for nothing, well

Except for a healthy body

Pondering who I am, who I once was, and who I want to be

…when I grow up

Realizing there is no stopping point to growth and maturity

There is no end in learning

Loving this day, and

Glad I chose to be outdoors

♥️
