Autumn Morn

Golden streaks of autumn sun,
Shoot through the forest trees,
Enhancing every color scheme,
Contained within the falling leaves.

A spider’s web hangs gracefully,
Created skillfully through the night,
Glistening with the morning dew,
A chef d’oeuvre of pure delight.

The air is crisp and clean these days,
It refreshes my very soul,
And awakens a youthful spirit within,
Once again…I feel whole.

Grapes adorn the twisting vines,
Shades of purple, orange, maroon, and green,
This kaleidoscope of color and taste,
Beckoning me these vines to glean.

Though I walk alone, alone I’m not,
For my senses are my friends this day,
As I behold God’s awesomeness,
In the beauty of this fall display.

    1. Thank you, Sherry. I like your poetry as well. I’m okay. I’ve tried writing. Nothing. I haven’t even been enjoying the outdoors. I was hoping my poem and a drive today would help. Otherwise, I’m doing okay. Trying to get rid of stuff in my house so I can get ready to move.

      1. I am also in a declutter; get rid of stuff phase. Not doing so well, but getting a start. Not moving , but trying to get rid of stuff I don’t really need or even like that much. I have a little bit of a hoarder in my blood. I think I got that from my Dad. Everyone needs a break now and then. I am trying to keep up a post or two per week while I start on several other projects.. Write when your spirit calls you to. I love your writings. Take care.
