Last night was a beautiful night outdoors, other than it being bitter cold. It was the night of the Full Snow Moon.
I took pictures of the moon as it rose through the tree line. It was beautiful indeed.

At 10:30 p.m., I took Nyx out for her last bathroom run of the night. I stepped out from the garage to find the Snow Moon high in the sky. No light was needed to see anything. The moon shone bright and glistened off the snow. I could see clear into woods behind us and to the west, the whole pond. It was magnificent. Plus it was so very quiet. My favorite kind of noise.
When I turned to go back inside, something caught my eye. My solar light was glowing even though it was half buried.

The night was bright under the
Full Snow Moon.

The light hangs from a hay fork.

As soon as I saw it, the children’s song, This Little Light of Mine, played through my mind. Actually, I sang it out loud.
This Little Light Of Mine
This little light of mine,
I’m gonna let it shine!
This little light of mine,
I’m gonna let it shine!
This little light of mine,
I’m gonna let it shine!
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
Hide it under a bushel; No!
I’m gonna let it shine!
Hide it under a bushel; No!
I’m gonna let it shine!
Hide it under a bushel; No!
I’m gonna let it shine!
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
It made me wonder if I hide my little light. Is it visible to all I meet? Do I stifle the light when I am moody and irritable? Do I hide it when I am blue or caught up in the ordinary? Is my light visible in the things I write? Do people see Jesus in me?
I think this is something we should check periodically. Does our little light shine, and if not, why not? If so, who can see it?

I think everybody’s liked dims a little bit when we get in our heads. But your true light always shines for all to see.
